Based in the canton of Thurgau, the company manufactures custom-made door blanks and complete door sys-tems. Tailor-made doors - end-to-end processes
With around 200 employees and regional branches in Dietikon ZH, Taverne TI and Jongny VD, RWD Schlatter covers the entire value chain - from development and production through to erection, maintenance and service. A central element of this is the specially developed service portal, which digitalises all processes and enables efficient, customer-oriented handling.
RWD Schlatter produces round 80,000 customised doors every year in its highly automated production facility at its headquarters in Roggwil TG. The company has been part of the Arbonia Group, based in Arbonia TG, since 2007.

Over 140 years of door expertise
The roots of RWD Schlatter go back to the year 1884, when Theodor Schlatter AG was founded. In 1995, Ronald Pieper, owner of door manufacturer RWD, took over the company and merged the two traditional businesses to form RWD Schlatter AG. One year later, a continuous phase of investment and expansion started with the commissioning of a modern edge banding plant in Roggwil. In 1998, the headquarters moved from St. Gallen to Roggwil. Since then, modern office and production areas have been created, training places have been offered and the development of in-house technologies has been driven forward. RWD Schlatter was the first Swiss door company to have its own development department and has received several awards for quality, environmental standards and ethical business practices. The company has been part of the Arbonia Group since 2007 and has since greatly expanded its production - most recently with a new stock and logistics hall in 2023. Today, RWD Schlatter stands for innovation, precision and Swiss quality - with over 140 years of experience and a clear commitment to the production site in Roggwil, Thurgau.
