Sustainability

For us, responsibility does not just begin with the finished product, but in every single step before that: be it in the respectful treatment of our employees, in the careful selection of our materials or in the conscious use of energy and resources.

The three pillars of sustainability

The Arbonia Group's sustainability strategy is divided into three sub-areas: Climate (environmental issues), Community (social issues) and Compliance (governance issues). In these areas, the Arbonia Group aims to continuously improve its sustainability performance beyond the legal requirements.

Climate

As a building supplier for products and solutions relating to interior doors made of wood and glass, the Arbonia Group has a responsibility to protect the environment and climate. It sees great potential in the transformation towards an environmentally friendly economy and would like to make a substantial contribution to making the building sector more sustainable with its product, development and service portfolio. Various measures in production, as well as in the upstream and downstream value chain, are intended to reduce the ecological impact of the company's own business activities and those of its customers.

Community

The employees of the Arbonia Group and RWD Schlatter are the driving force behind the further development of the company. At the same time, they act as ambassadors for its values. In their day-to-day work, employees demonstrate commitment, determination and reliability, and the Arbonia Group is committed to being an attractive employer for them.

Compliance

For the Arbonia Group, compliance with the law and business practices of integrity form the foundation for sustainable corporate governance and thus for a future-proof company. The range of topics covers many ethical principles in internal cooperation and in dealing with our business partners. Particular attention is increasingly being paid to data security and data transfer. In addition to our own business practices, due diligence obligations in the supply chain are playing an increasingly important role. In all countries in which it operates, the Arbonia Group complies with the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Convention on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the ten principles of the UN Global Compact.

The proof (PEFC-CoC number) is listed on the declaration of conformity and on the invoice.

This includes the protection of biodiversity, the avoidance of clear-cutting and the observance of human rights. RWD Schlatter undertakes not to use any timber from illegal logging or from areas with human rights violations.
