As the product standard EN 16034 can only be linked to the already harmonised product standards for windows and external doors EN 14351-1 and for doors EN 13241, it does not yet apply to internal doors. This means that everything remains the same for interior doors at the moment.

SIPIZ quality seal: WPK-certified company
The Assessment and Verification of Constancy of Performance (AVCP) is a prerequisite for issuing a Declaration of Performance. The procedures or systems for the assessment and verification of constancy of performance (AVCP procedures or AVCP systems) are intended to provide accurate, reliable and comparable information on the performance of a construction product.
Manufacturers who place e.g. fire doors/fire windows, smoke control doors/smoke control windows, escape doors/escape windows on the market are subject to AVCP System 1. According to the Construction Products Act (BauPG), these construction products must provide proof that the declared performance of the construction products is permanently achieved. Factory production control refers to the self-monitoring of production by the company (the manufacturer). This includes the establishment, documentation and maintenance of the factory production control system. The manufacturer must establish, document and maintain a factory production control system to ensure that the products placed on the market comply with the performances declared for the essential characteristics.
The factory production control system shall include procedures, periodic inspections and tests and/or assessments, and application of the results, to control the raw materials and other materials or components supplied, the equipment, the manufacturing process and the product. The requirements for the FPC for doors and windows are defined in EN 16034 sections 6.3 and 1, section 7.3. The WPK is customised by the manufacturer for his company and is therefore not a standard product that can be purchased. This enables the manufacturer to set up the FPC exactly according to his needs and to create benefits throughout the entire company through regulated and well thought-out processes.
The manufacturer must have the factory production control (FPC) monitored by a notified body, e.g. SIPIZ AG.
With the SIPIZ quality seal "FPC - certified company", the manufacturer demonstrates the successful certification of the FPC in his company. The product standards listed in the quality seal also indicate the scope of certification.
