Burglary protection doors

Burglar-resistant doors are special security doors that are designed to prevent break-ins or at least make them significantly more difficult. Technically speaking, they are referred to as burglar-resistant doors, as they do not completely prevent break-ins, but delay them in a targeted manner. They are an important component of security technology and are often used in residential buildings, office and commercial buildings, banks, industrial plants, etc. Burglar-resistant doors have a particularly resistant door leaf and special fittings that make it difficult to pry or break open the door. The burglar-resistant properties of a door are classified according to the European standard EN 1627. The classification is based on three test standards: EN 1628 (static test), EN 1629 (dynamic test) and EN 1630 (manual attack with defined tools). RWD Schlatter offers door solutions up to resistance class RC4.

Doors with burglar resistance according to standard

It is also important that burglar protection doors are regularly maintained and checked for functionality in order to function optimally in an emergency. A faulty door can allow a burglar to get through quickly under certain circumstances.

Overall, burglar-resistant doors are an important part of security measures and help to increase the protection of people and property. A well-secured door can deter burglars and thus help to prevent break-ins and thefts.

Burglary protection doors for gun stores

Since January 1, 2022, new security requirements have applied to doors and windows in gun shops. The aim of these regulations is to increase burglar resistance and minimize the risk of theft and property damage. The ordinance on the minimum requirements for commercial premises now stipulates at least resistance class RC3 in accordance with SN EN 1627. There is a transitional period of five years for implementation.

RWD Schlatter supports firearms dealers in implementing these requirements professionally.
Our burglary protection doors are made to measure, meet the requirements of resistance class RC3 and are certified by ift Rosenheim. The door leaf, fittings and locking system are specially designed for resistance to make break-in attempts significantly more difficult.

Environmental protection

We pay attention to resource-conserving and environmentally conscious production. On request, we use particularly sustainable materials such as PEFC-certified wood. This is complemented by energy-efficient production and consistent recycling of all waste. RWD Schlatter attaches great importance to sustainability - in every step of the manufacturing process.

Sustainability

Maintenance

Burglary protection doors from RWD Schlatter meet the highest security and functional requirements. Regular maintenance is crucial to ensure that this protective effect is maintained in the long term. Mechanical components such as locks, hinges and locking mechanisms are subject to natural wear and tear during daily operation. Professional inspection and maintenance ensures that all security-relevant elements function reliably - even after years of use. You can find more information about maintenance here.

Test benches

At our headquarters in Roggwil TG, we have our own test stands, which are also recognized as an external test centre by the notified institute ift Rosenheim. This means that door systems can be officially tested in accordance with specified test standards. The result of a successful test is European-recognized test certificates.
