The listed shed buildings of the former cloth factory are undergoing extensive renovation and will be repurposed for the ZHAW. The plans include modern laboratories, offices and ‘room-within-a-room’ cubes designed to be highly energy-efficient in accordance with the Minergie standard. The architecture and engineering combine industrial structure with sustainable building technology and wood-fired district heating.
