The new sports center creates many synergies in terms of building technology and construction. It is ecologically sustainable and meets the Minergie standard for ice rinks. In the spirit of the 2000-watt society, it uses its resources efficiently. There is a large photovoltaic system on the roof that produces green electricity. The waste heat from the environmentally friendly CO2 refrigeration machines for ice production is used to heat the new sports center as well as the community center and to operate the hot water system.
