The supra-regional Oberengadin Hospital (SOE) is the second largest hospital in the canton of Graubünden with a staff of round 300. Originating from the hospital association founded in 1881, the Oberengadin Hospital was officially opened in the year 1895. The "new hospital" was put into operation in 1979 and subsequently fitted to the changing needs in different ranges over time.
Today, the hospital is undergoing radical change. It is to align itself with modern needs and refit itself for the future according to the motto: "Away from administration, towards design."
