The new-build project on Binzmühle- and Friesstrasse in Zurich-Oerlikon comprises 39 flats in a striking corner building and a quiet courtyard building. The architecture features flats facing both sides, with ‘cockpit kitchens’ in bow windows overlooking the street and private loggias facing the inner courtyard. From a technical perspective, the building follows a low-tech approach with a focus on photovoltaic systems and rainwater harvesting.
