At ARCHITECT@WORK 2025 in Zurich, RWD Schlatter presented the new door concept Acrilea an innovative design solution with an acrylic glass surface and integrated inlays. Acrilea impresses with its high scratch and chemical resistance, elegant depth effect and UV resistance.
Made from recycled polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA), Acrilea is not only durable but also sustainable: the material can be returned to its original monomer form via the cracking process.
The acrylic glass surface can be combined with a wide variety of inlays such as metal mesh, wood, textiles or organic materials. This creates unique visual effects - optionally with LED backlighting.
Acrilea is ideal for design-oriented new buildings, renovations and projects where an innovative material concept is required.
